Recently, my guides have been telling me about an “abrupt turn” I will be making. I want to share what they’ve said so far. This is the third in a four-part series about receiving direction through channeled material, psychic information, and clairvoyance.
Today I want to provide some final information my guides gave me that begins to reveal the meaning of their cryptic communications.
At the End of My Rope
After a grueling first quarter at work and with trying to reach personal writing and publishing goals, I ended up very ill the entire month of April. It was as if I had been chewed up, spit out, and left for dead. Everything in my life seemed to come to a screeching halt. I was extremely discouraged and felt like giving up. On April 6, my guides mentioned the following:
Your greatest joys lie before you. You feel that your life is over because you’ve reached a turning point. We’ve told you that you would come to the end of a tunnel and then you would make an abrupt turn. You will experience this on many levels. Open yourself to new possibilities. We will help you transition.
So, along with any inclinations hinted at in the previous two posts, my guides have said this tunnel-and-turn experience will happen “on many levels.”
My Guides Begin to Explain
On April 15, 2012, my guides revealed:
We have told you that you have reached a turning point. You have come to the end of accomplishing things in your own strength. You will now begin to walk in accordance with the laws governing the dissemination of wisdom from on high.
Valiantly trying to spin all of my many plates in my own strength really took its toll on me, that’s for sure. I’d be glad to turn a corner and do things differently!
During my Sunday evening channeling session on April 29, 2012, I asked for more information about this part of the channeled message. They said:
Your religious upbringing has been like a tunnel; it has been like a schoolmaster to bring you to the point where you are now. You’ve reached the juncture where your past will no longer dictate the direction that you take. Although it has delivered you to this point, it has been constricting.
You will now take the abrupt turn that we have been speaking about. Do not presuppose what it is. Lay not judgments as to what we now begin to share with you. Practice, as you are learning, the discipline of non-judgment. Observe, consider, accept that which we give to you. Be faithful to record it and to put into words the images, the feelings, the communications that we share with you.
At least on one level, my guides are equating the dark tunnel or narrow hall with the constriction of my religious upbringing and former beliefs. Yet my background has trained and delivered me to the turning point where I am now, a juncture where I will take an abrupt turn I haven’t foreseen.
They advise that I not jump to conclusions about what it is. Perhaps this is why in my vision from two years ago I saw a “bright haze.” More recently it was described as a “blind turn.” And it will happen on many levels. So I am not to pigeon-hole what’s coming. I’m to remain neutral and observe what’s arriving next without passing judgment, recording this experience as I have been doing.
New Communications Are Coming
I asked how to walk more in step with the “laws governing the dissemination of wisdom from on high.” (That phrase really intrigued me. Such lofty language also puts me on guard.) Guides said:
You must learn to trust more. You must learn to yield. This is necessary for the reception of new information that we desire to give you.
[I saw an image I first received in February of a great deluge of water cascading from on high, which I may blog about at some point. Briefly, it represents the inflow of Spirit—light, revelation, and information—coming down in great measure from on high.]

Sounds like I’m being prepared to receive a different kind of information from what I’ve previously channeled. This raised a warning flag with me, but here’s what they said next:
We do not require that you become fanatic, that you become a “true believer.” We ask that you become a “true receiver.” If you were to receive the dictation of a book, you could not come to a conclusion as to the author’s premises until you had received the entire transmission. Be faithful to transmit that which is delivered to you, but withhold judgment about the content, for it will take some time for everything to be delivered.
These transmissions will be attended with experiences of altered states of consciousness. Yield also to these, just as you yielded to the anesthetic during your recent procedure. We will meet you on the other side, and all will be well.
I’m being asked to receive and transmit (channel) a different kind of information, information that I may not personally agree with, or that may not be in line with my constrictive religious upbringing. They’re not expecting me to believe it uncritically, but to channel it without judgment because it will take some time until the entire message is received.
Should I Expect Trance?
These new channelings will come during “altered states of consciousness,” which reminds me of Three Ravens in One Day, a message about upcoming “change in general and the birth of new ideas. It indicates transformation and change in consciousness, an increase in prophetic revelation and healing power, and the necessity of taking advantage of these opportunities.”
They suggested I yield to these experiences “as you yielded to the anesthetic during your recent procedure.” They’re referring to the colonoscopy I underwent the end of April. When the anesthesiologist injected me with Propofol, it felt like ice invading my veins. She told me to “Take a deep breath.” I did—and I was OUT. Next thing I knew, I was waking up in the recovery room.
I’m curious about this portended experience and, I must say, apprehensive. (Anxiety is my typical MO.) I’m not sure how I can channel (operate the recording equipment) if I enter trance. But I’m presupposing and making judgments here. Tsk, tsk.
Path Through the Grass
I want to share one final image that I think is a piece of this puzzle. I received this clairvoyant movie and its explanation at a workshop about psychic symbols hosted February 19, 2012, by psychic medium Marjorie Rivera. She led us to receive a symbol for our own path. Here’s what I saw.
I’m walking through tall grass at night with a flashlight. I see that there’s a narrow, cut path through the tall grass. I see insects fly up in the light. I can’t see very far ahead. I’m alone, it’s quiet, at night.
Then, suddenly, day dawns and a whole crew of people go to work cutting the grass, bagging it, trimming the weeds. I see it’s the front lawn of a beautiful home, and they’re working as a team to make it look professional. And it’s all for me.
Note these things:
- Dark, narrow path (like a tunnel or hallway)
- Inability to see far ahead (like a blind curve)
- Light suddenly dawning, and everything becoming clear
- People going to work for me
