This is the fourth in a series concerning a vision about dominoes, synchronicities, and how they lead to building the bridge of light—the cosmic connection through which I link to higher realms of Spirit for psychic communication and channeling.
My Channeling Education
Since my prophecy of the gold, jewel-studded dominoes in April 2010, I avidly read and studied channeling, learning that this is what I actually had been doing since August 1989. I read books such as:
- The “Seth” series by Jane Roberts
- Emmanuel’s Book by Pat Rodegast and Judith Stanton
- God’s World from the William T. Stead Foundation
- Channeling: A Comprehensive and Instructional Guide by Ezekiah (through Michelle Wedel)
- Channeling: How to Reach out to Your Spirit Guides by Kathryn Ridall
- A Channeling Handbook by Carla L. Rueckert
- Channeling: Investigations on Receiving Information from Paranormal Sources by Jon Klimo
- With the Tongues of Men and Angels: A Study of Channeling by Arthur Hastings
- Opening to Channel: How to Connect with Your Guide by Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer
All of these books were helpful in educating me about the theory, process, and mechanics of channeling. But it was Kathryn Ridall’s book and Opening to Channel by Roman and Packer that really lit my fire. From these volumes, I learned that I could call to me, or “invoke,” a new spirit guide to channel.
My “Job Description” for a New Spirit Guide
I was very serious about this process, and with the help of these authors, I created a list of characteristics that clarified:
- What I wanted to learn from a new guide
- The qualities I desired in this guide
- The relationship I wanted with this guide
I spent some quality time developing answers to these questions. Then I turned those requests into a “job description,” a list of affirmations for my meditation.
I call to myself a spirit guide who…
- Helps me understand my purpose, creative direction, and how to approach and carry out my life’s work.
- Heals me emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically.
- Teaches me how to build the bridge of light—first for myself, and then for others.
- Helps me develop psychic abilities, including keen clairvoyance.
- Teaches me to see and read the human aura.
- Helps me have and interpret dreams and visions.
- Teaches me how to enter trance at various levels.
- Trains me to have out-of-body experiences and travel in the astral realm.
- Equips me to see angels and other forms of conscious beings.
- Enables me to merge with a falcon in the spirit and gain its perspective and powers.
- Helps me develop healing abilities.
- Teaches me how to perform “miracles.”
- Helps me express myself spontaneously and freely.
- Trains me to be God’s mouthpiece, spokesman, and prophet.
- Reveals whether I should channel for others.
- Teaches and enables me to make chords and play beautiful music on the keyboard.
- Mentors me into a teaching and demonstration ministry where I teach these things to others and train them to do the same.
- Provides information, insight, and practical advice that will prosper me materially and increase my income and finances.
- Helps me make quality friends with people who have spiritual interests and abilities I can mutually benefit in the spiritual and business arenas.
- Equips me to help others with my gifts and abilities, furthering God’s kingdom in the earth.
I call to myself a spirit guide who…
- Is patient and caring.
- Is loving and kind.
- Is serious but also has a sense of humor and play.
- Understands me.
- Has incarnated, so that he understands me better as a human.
- Understands and supports my sexual orientation and coaches me on how to fully be myself as a gay man with a unique calling and purpose.
- Protects me and keeps me from harm.
- Speaks clearly and recognizably.
- Is spiritual but not religious; holy, but not sectarian.
- Gives me wise, accurate, and godly information that builds God’s kingdom in the earth.
- Is intellectual and knowledgeable about earthly, spiritual, metaphysical, and practical matters.
- Provides mystical, educational, and pragmatic advice.
- Is wise and understands deep spiritual matters and is able to explain them in simple terms.
- Communicates in ways I can easily understand.
- Whose advice is practical and easy to implement.
- Is clear, accurate, succinct, and thorough in teaching about any matter.
- Is disciplined and methodical in his teaching.
- Partners with me to help me fulfill my purpose to help others.
- Speaks to me clearly about work issues and provides insight, information, and connections to further me and help me do a job that gets me raises, kudos, and fun.
- Connects me with spiritual, prosperous, and influential people who can bless, prosper, and further me in my life’s work.
- Puts me in touch with other trustworthy guides who best can fulfill particular needs and provide specific information when needed.
- I can contact at any time to speak to me.
- Is available “on the fly” to communicate with me telepathically.
- Will contact me if the need arises (not all the time), to let me know he has something to say or teach me.
I call to myself a relationship with a spirit guide that…
- Is mutually rewarding; we should both learn and benefit from it.
- Is developmental and educational.
- Stimulates me to grow and stretch my mind and beliefs, yet also feels safe and secure.
- Is based on trust and honesty.
- Let’s him be a mentor in the areas where I need to grow into my purpose and abilities, but a peer in the human condition. I want to mentor him in the areas he needs to grow.
- Is at least 50% verbal. I want us to be able to discuss things together conversationally. But because I want to learn other forms of psychic communication, I want to communicate visually, kinesthetically, and other ways—and have it backed up with verbal explanations.
Leave it to me to be obsessive and go overboard! Long lists though they were, I meditated on these characteristics because I wanted to prepare myself to channel a high being of light. Turns out, I wasn’t disappointed.
I asked if there was a particular day on which I should actually invoke my new guide. I got a specific date. I’ll share that invocation and what I channeled in our first meeting next time.
